Position:

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Nature of position:

Permanent Full-Time
37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Executive Director, The Human Resources Manager administers the Association’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. This position also contributes to the effective functioning of the Association team by balancing completion of individual tasks and the overall workload of their department. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for ensuring that the human resource management of the Association is efficient and effective throughout all programs by, • Developing and implementing a recruitment strategy plan. • Participating in the recruitment of all employees and ensuring an effective hiring system. • Developing networking and marketing campaigns in the recruitment of new employees • Promoting CRADACL’s community profile through presentations at local colleges, high schools, job and volunteer fairs. • Ensuring training needs for staff are identified and when appropriate, facilitates, coordinates, and/or plans training events. • Ensuring the correct interpretation and implementation of the Collective Agreement as it relates to labour relations issues, payroll. • Participating on the Labour Management Committee

Requirements:

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:

The successful candidate will be a Certified Human Resource Professional with experience operating under a collective agreement, ideally in a not-for-profit organization. • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and priorities is important, along with a results driven and continuous improvement mentality. • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook is an asset.
