Position: Community Support Worker
Nature of position:
Permanent Part-Time: 16 hours per week, 1:1 community inclusion support. Male only BFOR
Rate of pay: As per Collective Agreement – Grid Level 10
Location: Campbell River, BC
Current First Aid and CPR, negative TB test results, current Criminal Record Check as per Association policy, and a completed Physicians Approval of Health. Food Safe Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention also required.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:
Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field preferred. Three to six month prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with people with developmental disabilities. Must display a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with individuals with complex support needs and behaviors. Must display enthusiasm, energy, and a willingness to be flexible in adapting to a varied schedule.
Union Status: General Unit
Own Vehicle Requirements: Must have own vehicle and business insurance
